Join us for a work-in-progress sharing session with composer, artist and Manager of the inaugural Music Department at the Sharjah Art Foundation Hasan Hujairi.

Hujairi will reflect on both his creative practice and what it means for him to undertake building a new department within a contextually unique cultural institution, sharing his early stage thinking shaping this. This work-in-progress discussion will present the opportunity to imagine possible approaches, considering issues such as care culture, community-building, and knowledge-sharing within different contexts. The session will be a communal space for participation and exchange where attendees are encouraged to ask questions as well as share their thoughts, knowledge and ideas.
