Words of Welcome is a book created by Manchester City of Sanctuary members in Collaboration with ArtReach and SBC Theatre. It has been developed during lockdown through a series of creative workshops led by SBC Theatre in people's own words with illustrations that bring these stories to life. The project was designed to help sanctuary seekers to develop their storytelling and English language skills through a series of fun, creative workshops led by SBC Theatre. The weekly sessions allowed people to explore performance and public speaking techniques, creative and speech writing as well as illustration. The content developed in the sessions has been gathered into a 'book of ideas' which you'll be able to see as part of Refugee Week 2021.
