About

To celebrate David Bowie life during his celebrating week a special exhibition and event at Westminster Library in Central London of David Bowie Sculptures by Maria Primolan. The artist chosen this wonderful place to exhibit her art and to remember that David Bowie was a great enthusiast reader, on 2013 he has written his special list of favorite books. There will be a event with a special guest to talk of the 100 titles that David Bowie said changed his life.

Architect and sculptor Maria Primolan hails from Turin, Italy. After Art School, she graduated in Architecture and up until 2010 was mainly involved in furniture design, creating many a unique wooden piece. It was in 2011 that she returned to sculpture, carving figures out of wood with traditional tools and winning several public commissions and awards. 2016 saw her pay tribute to her hero David Bowie with stunning large scale wooden pieces, ceramic masks and busts. Lately she has been discovering the ancient art of Japanese Raku ceramic for the gorgeous and highly distinctive Bowie-inspired pieces featured in the exhibition.
