A new exhibition by Agnetha Sjögren of sculptures and prints inspired by man's best friend to raise funds for ARK dog charity
10 -31 AUGUST 2019, Box Galleries, Chelsea

About

Agnetha has carved a reputation for her playful and sculptural dogs; exquisitely hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind sculptures and limited-edition prints. Her inspiration comes from her love of dogs, observing the relationship between urban life and nature, and from her favourite artists, including Giacometti, Grayson Perry and Andy Warhol.

Whether it’s using Tin Tin cartoons or vintage fabrics from her mother’s wardrobe, Agnetha’s covered dog sculptures manifest into a well-travelled and groomed canine. Each unique handmade dog – part Labrador, part Dalmatian, part cartoon – is authenticated with a personalised story contained within a signed ‘mini passport’. Limited edition prints are also available of some of the dog sculptures.

Highly collectable, her dogs can be found in private collections around the globe – including those of Angelina Jolie and Jude Law. They have been featured in fashion shows in New York and Moscow and

on the Aesthetica Wish List 2011 alongside pieces by Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton and Elin Høyland.

The exhibition is being held in collaboration with Animal Rescue Kefalonia (ARK) and Box Galleries is donating 10% of all sale proceeds to the incredible work ARK do to help rescue an inordinate number of abused and abandoned dogs in Kefalonia.

Dogs can bring their owners to a very special private pawview of WOOF! on Saturday 10th August 11am - 2pm. All dogs will receive a doggy gift bag and owners a glass of champagne.

Places are limited for the Private Pawview so RSVP is essential!
