A new art fair celebrating women’s contribution to art, presenting leading and emerging women artists.

About

Women in Art Fair (WIAF) is a new initiative dedicated to redressing the gender imbalance in the art industry. Founded by businesswoman Jacqueline Harvey, her mission is to take her passion for art and direct it towards supporting women artists. WIAF aims to create a positive global platform from which female artists, curators and gallerists are given an opportunity to showcase their work and contribute to the developing exchange of ideas around gender and culture.

WIAF will take over all three spaces at Mall Galleries (totalling 450sqm). The West Gallery will house a 21-booth art fair. The East Gallery is dedicated to a curated exhibition of leading and emerging 20th and 21st-century female artists. The North Gallery will contain an exhibition of work by female artists selected from an Open Call.

Founder Jacqueline Harvey says: ‘The world has been through incredible changes in recent years and women, as artists, have continued to create and help maintain stability in these volatile times. We need to celebrate the journey we have been on and look at the new paths and opportunities we are going to create for future generations.’

Any galleries interested in taking a booth in the inaugural Women in Art Fair are invited to contact info@womeninartfair.com. Artists should submit work to the Open Call via www.womeninartfair.com

Tickets will be released on 1 September at: https://womeninartfair.com/tickets/
