For those interested in the struggles of women artists to be accepted in the early 20th century, the Heliconian Club is presenting an evening with speaker Charles Hill, former curator of Canadian Art at the National Gallery of Canada, who will speak about the history of female artists and the clubs they formed for support, such as the Heliconian Club, founded in 1909.
