Inspired by the original Womanhouse created by Judy Chicago and Miriam Schapiro in California 1972, Katherine Trigg is creating her own art installation in London.

About

Taking over an Edwardian property in Hackney (Kindly lent by GP Amy Kendrick), Katherine and fellow female artists including Jo Wood, Leah Wood and Shirley Kemp will each paint a room in the house to create a ‘female expression of art’.

Each room will tell a story and explore what it means to be a woman making real life it into art. The week-long show aims to investigate how feminist art has changed (or not) in the past 47 years.
