A vernisage that brings to the forefront the works of an Austrian artist, specialized in several art branches.
About
In her earlier works, Martina Reinhart deals with the human itself, as well as his receptions ('The image of the woman', 'The image of the man', 'The image of the child') and the further developments ('Chimaeren', 'dream beings' ). Then, created 2 major cycles of knowledge: 'Knowledge and it's structures' and Receptions ('The Image of the Woman', 'The Image of the Man', 'Knowledge Cities / Knowledge Centers', where she took the brain as a knowledge carrier, as well as structure and map.
These two broad areas - body and knowledge - were then linked by Reinhart in her last cycle on a 3rd area - the media - inspired by impressions and encounters in everyday life in reference to Marshall McLuhan; when she kept coming back to these, tools and Extensions of the human body 'is encountered. In the communication itself and also only in observing the people and their interfaces. Computers or laptops, smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, e-books - all these mobile 'devices' or technical knowledge, bodies and the media themselves have become indispensable in our lives. They are - in the truest sense of the word - 'extensions / expansions' of the body / the individual and his world. And so this exhibition shows a selection of these cycles.
