Kingsgate Workshops is inviting visitors inside our creaky yet charming Victorian warehouse for a festive celebration of breathtaking craft and design.

About

The Winter Craft Fair is Kingsgate Workshops’ annual festive craft and design sale.
This November, Kingsgate Workshops will open its doors to showcase the extraordinary work of the craftspeople, designers and makers who populate its spaces. Visitors can kick off their Christmas shopping with an opportunity to buy high end craft pieces, and get a little insight into the people who made them.

PLUS:

Explore the historic Victorian warehouse
Visitors can enjoy the atmospheric post industrial spaces inside the building, see stalls showcasing the objects made by makers in festive displays, and peek inside a selection of studios to get more insight into the making of the ceramics, jewellery and painting on view.

Gather and treat yourself to festive food from the new Shed
Our beautiful yard now houses the Shed, where visitors can buy mulled wine, festive treats, or something more substantial to keep them going. We’ll be playing host to some local caterers in the Shed this year – watch this space to find out who!

Bask in the glow of Light Sphere 1 – an installation by Tom Wilkinson
This beautiful light installation was part of the Winter Lights festival, and we’re very pleased to host it on our rooftop during the Winter Craft Fair.

Free canvas bag designed by a Kingsgate artist with every purchase
Our exclusive artist-designed bags will be available for the first 20 visitors – after that, a donation of £5 will secure you one.

Who are Kingsgate Workshops?
Kingsgate Workshops started life as an artists’ squat in the 70’s, and has blossomed into a charity which celebrates and supports the creative work of over 75 artists designers and makers who work in the building, and many more who take part in our artist residencies and shows.

For most of the year, the main building is closed to the public, and our Project Space in the Yard runs regular exhibitions, talks and screenings.

Just twice a year we showcase the beautiful pieces made by our studio holders, giving you a glimpse into our somewhat rickety, higgledy piggledy 3 floor warehouse.
