Our winter exhibition is now on with lots of fabulous new artworks from the 17 artists involved in this gem of a gallery in Tonbridge. Two new artists have joined. Karen Summers and Tim Harker.
Karen works a broad range of media pastels, charcoal, inks, oils, acrylics and often on hand prepared papers.
She has exhibited with the Pastel Society at the Mall Galleries, SW1 Gallery in Victoria, Pure Arts of Battle and various galleries in Kent and the South East. She currently exhibits with the Lloyd’s Art Group in London, the Kent Painters Group, and has recently had work in exhibitions at the city offices of SE1 Legal and Mitsui Sumitomo.
Tim has a professional background in Ceramics spanning over 40 years.
His work at ArtSpring is the result of long research, developing a range of subtly coloured crystalline glazes. This is an unusual area of ceramics that is not generally known, where the crystals grow in the glaze during the kiln firing and control over placement and shape of the crystals is very limited. Each piece is therefore totally unique.
Also featured are his more playful interactive pieces that can be stacked in different combinations.
Our guest artist Eli Beaumont
Eli’s paintings are an exploration of how memory, desire and the passage of time influence truth and our experience of it: of how what is seen, is changed by what is imagined, remembered, anticipated.
She works primarily in acrylics with the addition of pastels, charcoal, pencils and metal leaf, on canvases that range in width from 10cm to 2m.
Her paintings are held in various private collections and she exhibits in London and the South East.
