This is an adult workshop for students and enthusiasts at all levels, from beginner to advanced (aged 16+).

About

Develop your film and photography skills over two days with leading photographer Alex Brattell. How can Doherty's way of working inform our view of our environment? Towner and its surroundings comprise a landscape as rich in possible interpretations as any of Doherty's, as distorted by memory and as much about what is not seen as what is. Working individually and in teams, you will create a body of work that uses image, text, video and sound in the style of Willie Doherty, taking location as your starting point The finished work will go on display at Towner for two weeks. Bring your own camera and / or video camera. A limited amount of Towner cameras are available to use - please ask when booking. Editing equipment and software will be provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
