About
Join Alec Stevens in a search to find evidence of the activities occuring in the forest, taking time to find out how a forest functions for a contemporary visitor and revealing how we have used this most primal of spaces.
Using these experiences as inspiration for making, Alec will share his practice through the basics of wood carving, creating time and space to reflect but also to process the importance of forested spaces within modern culture.
Participants will make a wooden object that directly links with their connection with a forest, collectively creating a series of objects rich with history, story and a strong relationship with place.
A light vegetarian lunch will be provided.
