Wild is the third exhibition from Art Textiles: Made In Britain. It is currently touring England after its successful launch in 2018 at Festival of Quilts, at the NEC. It is the first time Art Textiles: Made in Britain has exhibited at The Minories in Colchester and the first time in this part of the country.
Eleven members and two guest artists are exhibiting. All are
well-known exhibiting textile artists, but the unique feature of the group is
the mix of disciplines: painters, embroiderers, collage and mixed media artists
as well as quiltmakers. The group was established in 2012 specifically to
celebrate British art textiles. All members are or have been teachers and most
are well-known authors. The two guest artists each time comprise one well-known
and one emergent artist.
