About
'Wild Bursts' is a selection of her latest works. Working expressively and intuitively in acrylic, oil pastel and pencil , Warrener's paintings tend to be 'wild bursts' of creative and expressive energy - hence the title.Previously living and working in Japan, Warrener's work shows her admiration for the beauty of the elemental balance between movement, stillness and space in Japanese calligraphy and ceramics. These and the welcoming of the perfection in the 'imperfect' are major influences on her approach.
The artists aim is to capture moments of 'aliveness' - working intuitively in the moment blending colour, movement and form. Fascinated by the challenge of capturing aliveness which is always moving and changing - into a still but nevertheless vibrant form in her works.
Private view: 7-9pm, Thursday 14th June
