What would we document after the disappearance of reality?
About
In a time in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief, Elena Capra is reflecting upon mathematical systems, norms and standard averages in relation to the comprehension and perception of everyday life. By using the theory and language of colour in a playful manner, both technical reproduction and the distribution of information are being called into question. What´s happening during the transfer of facts from the real space to the realm of representation?
WHY WHITE? is an extract of Capra´s current research and is being specifically conceived as a response to exposure twelve´s space, which the collective will leave by the end of April.
After a Visual Art BA in Genova (2008), Elena Capra graduated in photography at the Ostkreuzschule in Berlin (2013). Currently she is attending the Master Fine Arts program at AKV I St.Joost in Den Bosch (NL).
