About
An exhibition of paintings, collages, site specific sculptures and
slide installation.
The title of the show is intended as a playful joke about some people's frustration with understanding contemporary art and their hope for a more traditional subject matter.
The artists answer the question posed by the title, by giving exactly what is asked for - a more traditional subject matter, such as flowers, landscapes and everyday objects. Ironically, despite offering the audience more conventional images, the works still speak in a contemporary language and retain their own conceptual meaning.
