‘Where we Meet: Connection’ is a student not-for-profit exhibition exploring connections.
About
With the intention to bring people together through art, this exhibition explores the relationship between one another and our interaction with the world around us. Due to the effect of the global COVID-19 pandemic, it has been more important than ever to showcase artwork specifically of students and those included within underrepresented communities such as those who identify as POC, LGBTQ+, those with disabilities, those in poverty and other marginalised groups – to make an impact by promoting their work.
As part of this project, the WM:C team have also progressed with the decision to donate to Create.org.uk charity whose aims align with the core of this project. Create charity says, “… We believe that everyone – regardless of circumstances, age, gender, race or disability – should have access to the power of creativity.”

The exhibition brings together 7 students from the University of Westminster:
AMIN YOUSEFI @AMINYOSEFI | ANGELA CROSTI @ANGELACROSTI_PHOTOGRAPHY | DOMINIC WHISSON @DOMINICWHISSON | JIVAN WEST @JIVAN.WEST | KATARÍNA ČAČÍKOVÁ @AVANTGARDNA | MILICA SIMOVIC @MITSIE_DRAWS | RUIZHE HONG @RZHEE
Following an open call seeking image-based work surrounding the theme of 'Connections', the seven artists were selected amongst students with different practices, including photography, contemporary media practice and illustration. Thirteen images, made between 2020 and 2022, are all showcased as individual works yet are intertwined in the exhibition space to further reveal this idea of connection.
Where we Meet: Connection was accomplished thanks to fundraiser donations and with the help of our print partner FlowPhotographic.com.
