Marine plastic debris is an issue of current global concern, and both Professor Richard Thompson OBE, and Mandy Barker, have dedicated part of their lives, in different ways, to furthering research and awareness of this problem.

This talk by the internationally renowned marine scientist and Director of the University of Plymouth’s Marine Institute, Professor Richard Thompson OBE, in combination with a visual art presentation and overview of the exhibition ‘Altered Ocean’ by Mandy Barker, an internationally recognized photographer of plastic waste.
