Just Graduated? Well, WTF Now?
Sarabande invites you to join us and each other in a two-day event to help bolster the confidence to push your way into the world of work. Featuring 1 to 1 drop-in workstations with creative industry professionals and panel talks with recent-ish graduates with unconventional industry stories - all the nitty gritty bits that Uni never teaches you.
Whatever your path, background, education, degree - It's all valid. Come for the advice, stay for the free drinks.
14TH - 15TH JUNE
14TH JUNE - (19:30 - 21:00) (Doors open from 19:00) - Dealing with post-uni panic with Business Mentor Jeii Hong in conversation with those that have walked the path before you; Dazed Project Manager Shin Aduwa, Data scientist at MATCHESFASHION Cecily Kasoma and Archive Consultant at Urban Outfitters Sheena Jones among others.
15TH JUNE (11:00 - 16:30) - Drop-in Workshop Stations at the Sarabande Foundation with 1 Granary, Alexander McQueen, The Dots, Stella McCartney, Moin Roberts-Islam, ArtRabbit and more.
15TH JUNE (19:30 - 21:00) - Portfolio Development Masterclass.
Building on the success of the last two years' What Now?, Jeii Hong will be speaking with those creatives who have walked the path before you on Wednesday 14th June in an informal chat on dealing with post-uni panic and putting it in perspective.
And the Sarabande main space will be dedicated to drop-in one-to-one workstations on Thursday 15th June, ending the day with a masterclass with on portfolio development and ways to pique the interest of headhunters and recruiters.
What Now? supports students and graduates to realise their creative vision, increase their chances of being employed and bolster their design portfolios. Attendees can meet with specialists and creatives who have walked a similar path, offering 1-to-1 support as well as panel discussions.
With a wide scope of support available, What Now? is designed for all practices - fashion, art and all that lies in between.
This year’s event brings together professionals from a cross-section of the creative industries, including business mentor Jeii Hong, departments from Alexander McQueen , Craig Green, 1 Granary, The Dots, Creative Search's Steph Finnan, Stella McCartney's Jacqueline Mathias, Moin Roberts-Islam and more.
