About

On Sunday Colin Waeghe explains about his work and experience during his residency at the Frans Masereel Centre for Graphic Arts in Belgium. Moreover Ivan Durt (Artistic Director Frans Masereel Centre) talks about the possibilities for graphic and non-graphic artists in terms of residencies and workshops at the FMC. Curator Laurence Dujardyn elaborates on the cooperation project between KALEID editions and the artists' books collection of the Frans Masereel Centre, focusing on why the graphic medium is relevant for many contemporary artists as a means of research and experimentation. Colin Waeghe will be exhibiting Black and White Dreams of Cesare, a 23 year old Somnambulist between 30th June-25th July at KALEID project space, together with a presentation of the Frans Masereel Centre's artists' books collection. Colin is currently a candidate-laureate at the HISK (Higher Institute for Fine Arts) in Ghent, Belgium. Ivan Durt is the Artistic Director of the Frans Masereel Centre for Graphic Arts in Kasterlee, Belgium. Laurence Dujardyn is an independent curator currently based in Brussels, after having moved from London, and working at Saint-Lukas University College of Art and Design.
