The South West’s first ever Wet Auction!
About
In recognition of Newlyn’s history of ‘plein air’ painting more than 50 of West Cornwall’s most exciting artists will leave their studios and spend a day working outdoors in and around Newlyn and Penzance, including at Newlyn Filmhouse, Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens, The Old Coastguard, The Gurnard’s Head Inn, Jubilee Pool and on-board Scillonian III.
By 7.30pm the works - a spontaneous snapshot of a West Penwith day - will be hung in the upper gallery ready to be auctioned. The Wet Auction, like the day, will be fast moving and fun; with music, food from Little Wonder Café and the Studio Café bar open. Viewing from 6.30pm.
All proceeds will be matched and doubled with help from Catalyst: Evolve and support young artists in the region.
