Westland Place Studios opens its doors the first weekend of October for their biennial Open Studios event. Located a stone’s throw away from Old Street Roundabout, it offers a chance to meet an eclectic mix of established and emerging London artists working across media.

About

Set in the evocative spaces of a former tobacco pipe factory, Westland Place Studios is one of the oldest established artist communities in and around Shoreditch and Hoxton. It hosts over twenty international and British artists who regularly show in the UK and abroad.

For three days every other year, the artists open the doors to the public. This is a unique opportunity to engage with contemporary art in the studios where it is created and meet the artists themselves. Working practices comprise painting, photography, sculpture, installation, print, film, ceramics, illustration and design.

Participating Artists: Susan Austin, Gordon Beswick, Michael Czerwinski, Harumi Foster, Edith Gubbay, Charlie Lyne, Tyler Mallison, Heather Meyerrakten, George Morris, Teresa Narduzzo, Sheila Ogilvie, Mary Oley, Maureen Otwell, Maria Pelton, Pietro Reviglio, Emma Ronay, Richard Sharples, Edit Toaso, Barbara Tong, Simon Williams.
