Please accept an invitation to join the few: enthusiasts, industry professionals, Artists and curators willing to brave the unknown. Those fearless enough to hop on our tour with little more than thermal underwear and faith that West London hosts some of the best talent in the world.
On the 13th December at 6pm sharp, get yourself to ‘The Muse Gallery & Studios’ (269, Portobello Road, London W11 1LR) for the start of a free double deck bus tour including the best independent galleries of West London. With a live broadcast by Portobello Radio from the bus, get on board or follow the tour over the airwaves as it meanders through the abundant culture and counter-culture of Kensal Town and Notting Dale.
‘But I don’t understand how it works?’
1. Go online to: www.smallgalleriesassociation.london (/galleriesonthetour) and choose your shows for the evening.
2. Find the bus, either by following us on Twitter: @onthebus69
or by listening to www.portobelloradio.com for a live commentary.
3. Hop on where you can, then hop off at your stop and we’ll collect you 30 minutes later to move on to the next.
You can find our map online and the gallery selection will be updated on the night, with some of our stops boasting up to three shows for you to choose from. For those more interested in free drinks that enlightenment this is not a booze cruise, so don’t expect drink on the bus.
Instead, for one night only, we will miraculously shrink the Borough for your benefit and offer more intellectual and emotional stimulation than any human being is capable of processing in three hours (fact). This is the only way to catch up on all local shows on a school night, so look lively and we’ll see you there to make your mind up and bid farewell to contemporary art at the end of the year 2017.
