About

Arts on the Waterways project, The Ring are delighted to invite you to their festival of art, music, theatre, dance and poetry, which includes lots of fun things to do, all for FREE!

Award-winning art, architecture and design studio NEON have created an amazing stage, especially for Worcester. The Weorgoran Pavilion takes its inspiration from the Saxon origins of the name Worcester and its translation, “the people of the winding river”. It’s the venue for a free family-friendly festival featuring a soundscape by acclaimed Ledbury born musician Dave Crowe, at selected times. Dave will celebrate the start of the festival with the choir of Worcester Young Voices and the funk-style of his band, Stranger Faces.

The pavilion will host a fabulous feast of entertainment with premier acts K.O.G (LIVE), Hotsteppas, Clik Clik Collective, Holly Holden, Snazzback, Matuki and The Brass Funkeys entertaining the crowds in the evenings; all for free. During the day there’s everything from storytelling with Cat Weatherill to Drum Love workshops and RSVP Bhangra, with displays and workshops galore from local talents including brilliant Dancefest.

Check theringart.org.uk for the full programme. All workshops are completely free of charge. Workshop spaces are limited, please book via the Eventbrite links on the website.

This is a Canal & River Trust project. Thanks to the event sponsor, OLPRO.
