This workshop will take place over three days and will enable you to learn a variety of skills for working with metals, whether you are thinking of a sculpture or of a design idea.
About
Included in the course are procedures and techniques of arc, mig & tig welding.
The skills of bending, cutting, folding, grinding and rolling metal will be covered in addition to safe workshop practice.
The course will also cover riveting, soldering and various joining metal techniques in addition to welding.
The small group will allow you to discuss your projects in detail with the tutor.
Please bring a sketchbook.
The course fee provides an allowance of ten pounds for materials this covers most consumable costs.
It is essential to wear old clothes and strong footwear.

Tutor: Silvina Soria. Silvina obtained her degree as Sculpture Professor at The Fine Arts School Prilidiano Pueyrredon in 2002. After specializing in welding and blacksmithing she obtained a master in Contemporary Sculpture at Ernesto de la Carcova Postgraduated School, both in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
