‘We Came Here to Conquer’ brings together eleven locally-based artists who have produced new work in response to the modern and contemporary print collection at Norwich Castle.
About
This newly commissioned work will be shown alongside prints drawn from the collection that have influenced or shaped the direction of the commissions. This show will be accompanied by an events programme as well as a publication and will draw connections with the Rembrandt: Lightening the Darkness exhibition in the main galleries to demonstrate the alluring appeal of printmaking on artists working today.
The artists involved in the show are: Carl Rowe, Aaron Scott Griffin, Flora Parrott, Matthew Benington, Sophie Purchase, Jade Jamean Lees, Adam Bridgland, Alec Game, Reece Jones, Gabrielle Walker and Charlie Barkus
