For one month from 18 June 2014 artist Heather Tamplin will take over the entire building which houses the Anteros Arts Foundation for an exhibition and installation titled Wall Candy.

About

Bring your smart phone for the interactive 'White Cube Selfie' - the Selfie creator with the most 'likes' on Facebook will win one of Heather's stylish giclee prints... Describing herself as "a pigment hoarder and canvas lover" Heather's approach to making art is eclectic, with a strong sense of fun, even when she addresses serious themes. Many things inspire her, from fragments of overheard conversations, a colour seen on a billboard advertisement, a shape traced in wet sand, to the texture of yesterday's paint roughly brushed onto a canvas. Wall Candy will include a response to Jenny Holzer's text Truisms In the main gallery, where Heather re-imagines 11 of these as figurative canvases. In the King of Hearts Cafe will be displayed a selection of Heather's delightful dog and cat prints. Sharing the space upstairs with White Cube Selfie is a collection of work titled 'Bee Crisis'. Environmental issues have long been a concern for Heather and the worldwide collapse in bee populations was the trigger for this installation which was first shown at the Sainsbury Centre as part of 'Heart Mind Computer'.
