Richard’s work uses a creative, walking-with approach to generate discussion on ‘reluctant’ heritage, and is interested in how the picturesque frames particular points of view.

Walking, making and doing we invite you to take part in ‘playing the picturesque’ outside the gallery by using your mobile phone camera and social media to capture your own, do some drawing, or just visit the locations and enjoy using your imagination. Richard will offer questions and provocations as we walk and hunt the picturesque with thoughtful conversations and interesting discoveries along the way. Join us for one or both walks and make a day of it!
