Voices in British Art Volume III-West Contemporary and Tom Kerridge unveils a new permanent art exhibition entitled Voices in British Art at his restaurant at Kerridge’s Bar & Grill- Corinthia London hotel and a charity collaboration with the Cameron Twins
About
Permanent art exhibition featuring works by globally successful British names at London restaurant of 2-Michelin star chef includes the TV personality teaming up with young, female artist twin duo for
charity art print release in December 2023.
LONDON (UK) - Works by the likes of internationally known British artists Damien Hirst and Gavin Turk feature in ‘Voices In British Art: Volume Three’, a specially curated exhibition of established and emerging artists housed within Corinthia London in Embankment at Kerridge’s Bar
& Grill. As part of the exhibition, two-time Michelin star awarded TV chef and proprietor of the restaurant Tom Kerridge has teamed up with London-based multidisciplinary collaborative artists The Cameron
Twins to release an exclusive hand-finished cooking related print with 20% of all profits benefitting FareShare, the UK’s largest charity fighting hunger and food waste (Charity No: 1100051).
Following initial success with The Hand & Flowers in Marlow, the first pub to receive two Michelin stars, Kerridge’s career within hospitality has led to five successful restaurants and numerous TV credits, including judging on the BBC’s Great British Menu and hosting Tom Kerridge’s Sunday
Lunch on Food Network UK. Tom has two London based restaurants in Kerridge’s Fish & Chips, located in the world-famous Harrods, and Kerridge’s Bar & Grill, housed within Corinthia London -a globally renowned 5-star hotel.
Kerridge has enlisted the support of long-term art partners West Contemporary, ably supported by leading fine art publisher Manifold Editions to produce a gallery-level show of original artworks,
limited edition prints, sculptures and photography by some of the most collectable artists working in the U.K.
Other names to feature works include Denis O’Regan, legendary photographer famous for his work with David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Freddie Mercury/Queen and Duran Duran; London-based expressionist oil painter Svante; award-winning sculptor Mark Beattie MRBS; one of the most known street artists in the world in Irishman Fin DAC; artist and writer Harland Miller - particularly appreciated for his reimagining of Penguin book classics; Beth Cullen-Kerridge, one of the most successful female sculptors in the world and former collaborator of Sir Anthony Caro and Sir Norman Foster; abstract pigmented printmaker Boo Saville; 3D paper artist Chloë Natalia; prodigious painter Chris Moon, the subject of the film ‘An Artist’s Eyes’; tattoo artist and modern ink inspired sculptor Matt Roe and former Sir Paul McCartney and U2 charity collaborator Robi Walters, known for his sustainable artwork using reclaimed materials.
Born in 1999, The Cameron Twins have had an unparalleled meteoric rise within their first 18 months as professional artists. Within the unbelievably competitive London art scene, the real-life twins have forged a place usually reserved for creatives of many more years experience and have firmly announced themselves as some of the most important and impressive emerging artists working today, including recently collaborating with international vegan-footwear industry leaders Løci, with Leonardo DiCaprio being an early investor for the start up.
The Cameron Twins work is known for possessing a strong and garish style using an oversaturated bright colour palette to create a surreal quality. The vivid colours and child-like naïve aesthetic with chaotic ensembles of images allows them to work playfully, exploring the ideas surrounding childhood imagination and dreams within their art practice that has garnered them a significant following for artists so recently out of university, inviting opportunities and acclaim many established artists would dream of.
‘Pluck A Duck’ can be seen in Tom Kerridge’s flagship London restaurant Kerridge’s Bar & Grill, where the artwork is included in the West Contemporary curated exhibition ‘Voices in British Art: Volume III’, the accompanying artwork to Kerridge’s restaurant within Corinthia London.
The artwork can also soon be purchased online via The Cameron Twins’ gallerists and art consultancy partner West Contemporary, release details below. Available in two formats: as a giclee standard print and also as a hand-embellished print, Tom Kerridge and The Cameron Twins have chosen FareShare as their charity beneficiary for the work - with 20% of profits of all sales benefitting the charity.
