⢠Red Gate Gallery would like to inform our public about the start of vocational life drawing classes commencing from May 2008. The 4-hour long workshops will stretch over a 4 week period and are aimed at beginners as well as participants who would like to re-kindle their passion for life drawing and drawing.
⢠The workshops are lead by South African born artist and printmaker Jonathan Comerford. Jonathan's approach is contemporary and innovative yet based on traditional techniques and skill. The objective of the workshop is to give participants a solid foundation of knowledge and skill as well as guidance to develop their own style or 'handwriting'. Participant numbers not greater than 10 per workshop will ensure good tutor/student rapport.
⢠Jonathan in collaboration with the gallery management will also give workshop participants help and vocational mentorship with regards to presentation of portfolios, (do's & don't do's) art work and exhibiting. Each participant will at the end of the 4 workshops walk away with a well presented portfolio of their own work.
