Composer Jim Aitchison talks about his concept of visible music and collaborations with Peter Randall-Page

About

Jim Aitchison is a Henry Moore Fellow at the Royal Academy of Music. Linking visual art with compositional practice, he re-imagines artworks as sound through the concept of 'visible music'. Artists whose work he has 're-imagined' include Barbara Hepworth, Antony Gormley and Richard Long. On the 20 November he will be at YSP talking about his musical response to Peter Randall-Page and other artists. Randall-Page's most extensive UK exhibition to date can be currently found in the galleries and open air at YSP. To book please call 01924 830579 or email info@ysp.co.uk Tickets are £8 / £5 concessions The Underground Gallery, exhibiting some of Peter Randall-Page's breathtaking sculptures, will be open until 8pm. Before the talk why not treat yourself to a Chef's special with a glass of beer or wine for only £10 in the YSP Restaurant.
