Silence and the City
About
Taking its title from 'Silence', Huang's first London exhibition recently held at The Multiple Store/Westbrook Gallery, the show continues the artist's commentary on contemporary environmental concerns. For more than a decade, the issues of how modern life is affecting our environment and humankind is losing its connection to the Earth have been the crux of Huang's qualms and his practice in art.
Vincent J. F. Huang currently lives and works in Taipei and Shanghai. Recent exhibitions include Animamix Biennale 2009-2010, which took place in four major museums in China and Taiwan and examined 'contemporary comic aesthetics'?. Vincent's next projects include a solo commission by the city of Taichung for the World Environment Day (June 5). Public collections showing his work include The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Art.
