About
A stunning new arts festival all along the coastal rail route around Morecambe Bay.
A magical forest where you become a deer; giant computer keys big enough to sit on; scary film treats on Halloween; dancing on trains and a gold locomotive that you drive with your own pedal powerâ¦
VELOCITY is like nothing you've seen before: an arts festival, a celebration of digital culture, a chance to take part in workshops, activities and performances, and all set in the beautifully sublime landscape around the coastal rail route between Lancaster and Barrow-in-Furness.
VELOCITY tackles important issues, from exploring ideas of landscape, movement and environment to asking questions about surveillance society.
But most of all, VELOCITY is fun: a glorious exploration and celebration of the role of technology in our lives, and a chance for participation as well as inspiration. Come and take part in VELOCITY, and see what technology can really be used for.
Lancaster - in England's Northwest - has excellent links with the M6 and with the West Coast Main Line, with direct trains from London, Bristol, Glasgow and Edinburgh. Why not spend a weekend in the South Lakes taking in some worldclass digital art?
