About

After an inauguration this summer at the Métairie Bruyère, Centre d’Art Graphique, Fotokino and R.L.D. editions present you the exhibition “Va-et-vient” gathering six artists with complementary universes: Pierre Charpin, Nathalie Du Pasquier, Fanette Mellier, Nigel Peake, Sabine Finkenauer and Philippe Weisbecker.

Fotokino and R.L.D. Editions are two structures that are geographically distant from each other, but which have many common passions, starting with the interplay of shapes and colors on paper. From Marseilles, we are happy and honored to be invited to carry on the relationships that bind us to most of the invited artists, on a new field of experimentation.

Trials, dialogues, attempts, encounters, confinements, frustrations and solutions: the exhibition “Va-et-vient” and the printed production that will be its essential part, have been built in a constant back and forth between the printing studio, the artists' studio and our Marseilles premises. The present very particular context has led us to imagine new scenarios for working together, but has not altered the very essence of this project: sharing tools and ideas, skills and desires with artists, in order to give life to new series of multiple works on paper.

But this back and forth is also what these six artists do in their work, between art and design, publishing and sculpture, drawing and illustration... They explore the different fragments of contemporary creation in a carefree way. Each with his own graphic vocabulary, handles lines and elementary forms to create a language of colors, sensitive and poetic. Bringing them together will multiply the visual surprises, and unclutter our gaze, so badly treated these days.
