USE HAMMER TO BREAK GLASS responds to a process of capturing public signage, symbols that belong to the collective imaginary and comprise the essence of a place or a social environment. Though her own personal visual language and particular aesthetic sensibility Ima Pico creates, by the arrangement of patterns, a new form of collage that has strong references to graffiti. Because of the medium and tools used, the resulting artworks have a great number of interpretations, taking into consideration that they have a close relationship with the environment where the different scenes unravel.
