Megan Revell has long been captivated by the colour and texture of the urban landscape, finding hidden beauty in scenes most Londoners would walk past.

About

Her use of ‘high dynamic range' photography gives her work a richness and depth of colour, which imbue her images with an almost a painterly quality, bringing out detail, normally hidden from the naked eye. Each photograph captures a myriad of elements. The base architecture of the city, augmented by reflections from puddles, the drift of fallen snow or leaves, even a perfect moment of sunlight hitting the scene. Revell also likes to incorporate people's impact on the streets of London, in the form of signage, graffiti, physical presence, or even how human destruction has brought out beauty in an un-expected way. These Photographs capture very precise moments in the long life of a city that continues to grow and evolve. We invite you, with the use of modern technology, to visit the scenes of these photographs, and see how transient this city is, and to perhaps inspire you to view London through new eyes. Use your smartphone to find where these photographs were taken, and see how quickly the city changes around you!
