Sam Peacock and Hannah Ivory Baker will be painting live in the upstairs of the gallery on Saturday 9th March from 12pm.
Currently both artists work is on display at the gallery in an exhibition titled, ’Out From the Downs’. Sam and Hannah are showing series of paintings and drawings inspired by the beautiful coast and countryside of East Sussex.
Sam, works in mixed media on steel, using a variety of manmade and organic materials to create work that is deeply connected to the landscape and history of place. Whilst Hannah works in oil paint and charcoal, creating both large sweeping panoramas and small intimate sketches inspired by an emotional response to the natural world.
The live painting is a perfect opportunity to meet both artists and see them making their work.
