About
The O3 Gallery, a bijoux contemporary art space located within what was previously Oxford Prison’s C-wing, is re-telling some of popular culture’s most loved literary classics through an exhibition of literary prints by Spineless Classics.
Visitors will also encounter an impromptu reading room in the gallery, equipped with giant beanbags, and with books kindly donated by Healthy Planet - a charity contributing to the health and well-being of our planet. Healthy Planet’s ‘Books For Free’ initiative rescues unwanted books otherwise destined for landfills or pulping. Healthy Planet redistributes these books throughout communities and volunteer-run centres. O3 Gallery will act as a ‘Books For Free’ centre during the exhibition and visitors are invited to rehome these books. If the sun makes an appearance, visitors may even wish to venture outside and read their books in Oxford Castle Quarter’s new Secret Garden area, located directly outside O3 Galley, in Market Square.
So whether you’re a sci-fi, romantic classic or travel writing fan, make your way to the O3 Gallery at Oxford Castle Quarter between Tuesday 24th and Sunday 29th March 2015. All Spineless Classic prints will be available for sale, and visitors can take a maximum of 3 books provided by Healthy Planet.
