A programme of short readings and audiovisual presentations from AUDINT members and special guests takes place within the installation at Spike Island, expanding on themes of their forthcoming book Unsound : Undead.
Contributing performers include Eleni Ikoniadou, founder and director of the Audio Culture Research Unit (ACRU), crew member of AUDINT and author of The Rhythmic Event (2014); Steve Goodman, known as the musician Kode9, founder of Hyperdub records, AUDINT member, and author of Sonic Warfare: Sound, Affect and the Ecology of Fear (2009); Toby Heys, AUDINT member and Head of Research at The International Screen School Manchester, Manchester School of Art; Ayesha Hameed, an artist and writer whose forthcoming book Black Atlantis re-reads the jettison of slaves overboard the slave ship Zong in 1781 through the speculations of Detroit electronic band Drexciya; and Lee Gamble, an electronic musician who has released records on Hyperdub and PAN, runs his own imprint UIQ and hosts a regular show on NTS radio.
