About

Unquiet Moments: Capturing the Everyday is an exhibition curated by the MA Curating the Art Museum students at The Courtauld Institute of Art. Inspired by the chapter of Somerset House's history as the home of the Register of Births, Deaths and Marriages, Unquiet Moments draws attention to the diversity of everyday life as experienced individually, collectively and across time and place. Drawn from the Arts Council Collection and The Courtauld Gallery, these artworks speak to an enduring impulse to record, reflect upon and resist the everyday. By using a variety of audio, film and text content, the exhibition embraces this new exciting format. The website will open to the public on the 18th June- unquietmoments.courtauld.ac.uk/
