A mask can be both a physical thing as well as an abstract concept. You can wear a mask as part of a costume or a mask to hide your sorrow. You can mask something up, either a mistake you have done or to create an effect of suspense. And many things in life are unknown or even inaccessible. What is going on behind closed doors of strangers? In their minds? Or what is happening in the cutting edge of the non-local underground of Berlin artists?

In this show we bring together 8 emerging Berlin Painters in a unique attempt to unmask this inaccessible scene and give art lovers a chance to see the hidden underground.
