UNLOCKED is an exhibition which showcases recent work by three artists: Ali Shipton, Sally Manning and Karen Colley. Their work includes paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture and reflects on personal and artistic freedom.
About
Ali Shipton - works mostly from observation through the Circus of Life and Place. Her work is expressed through oils, acrylic and clay, and ranges in style, colour, beauty and fear. An emerging artist, always learning.
Sally Manning - uses erasure and redrawing, responding to elements of accident and surprise. Her work alternates between figurative and abstract and colour is an important part of her practice. Her recent paintings are developed using thick paint, colour and overpainting.
Karen Colley - makes predominantly drawing based work using different materials and approaches. Her recent work relates to views and memories of a familiar landscape which has become the subject for exploring space, media and abstract elements.
