Featuring the works of 30(ish) artists across a range of disciplines, the MAFA exhibition will serve as a showcase of the diverse student practices on Brighton's MA Fine Art 2017-18 course.

About

Brighton University’s MA Fine Art degree show offers the exciting opportunity to view and buy new works by emerging artists. Displaying works from a diverse group of students from the UK and abroad, the 2018 degree show spotlights creative insight, enquiry and exploration, with the aim to intrigue, excite and inspire its audience.

Covering a wide range of media, including sculpture, photography, drawing, painting, public art, audio and video art, the exhibition showcases individual development of artistic practice and research over a time period of one or two years on the course. Each artist began the year with an opportunity to challenge their ideas and approach, and the show serves to highlight the personal growth and progress of every participant.

The private view for the MA Fine Art show will be held on Friday the 6th of July, from 6-9 at Brighton’s Grand Parade Campus, and the exhibition will run from July 7th until the 14th. Set next to Brighton Pavilion, and the sea, the show’s location also offers a beautiful setting for its audience to enjoy during the evening. Entry to the private view is free, and MA students whose works are on display will be at the event to speak about their work, and to answer any questions you may have.
