(UN)FRAMING OUR IDENTITIES: REPRESENTATION ON THE LINE is a collaborative exhibition from the RPS Hundred Heroines initiative in which female photographers explore the theme of identity.
About
HUNDRED HEROINES: CELEBRATING WOMEN IN PHOTOGRAPHY TODAY is an international campaign initiated by The Royal Photographic Societyto highlight inspirational women in photography. Through Hundred Heroines, The Royal Photographic Society strives to highlight and promote the overlooked abundance of contemporary female photographic talent in what remains a traditionally male dominated world.
After a two month exhibition period in Chelsea, London The Royal Photographic Society is now bringing the Representation On The Line exhibition to Blackpool. Working alongside a team of Blackpool-based photographers and curators, the work will take over all three floors of the HIVE Café building on Church Street, right in the heart of the town centre. The work of around 70 female photographers will be on display.
