A stimulating exhibition of sculpture and site specific works by four local artists: Daryl Brown, Owen Bullet, Michael Nash and Elli Sou, curated by Michael Nash.
About
The exhibition reflects the architecture of the gallery which has unique features as a metal workshop in one of the arches under Cambridge Heath Station.
An unusual space for a gallery, it has bare brick walls, long narrow corridors of different heights (under the stairs to the train platform), and two open spaces. The gallery itself was ‘uncovered’ when Adam Laurence, Can of Gas owner, was looking around his new business space.
Michael is interested in how in future times – maybe 900 years ahead - people will see evidence of their past – our now – when they uncover objects from these times.
UNCOVERED will show sculpture and site-specific works using natural, manufactured and reclaimed materials. Michael Nash allows the artists to explore the architectural spaces in various ways.
