(Un)broken Memories is an exhibition that shines a light on the challenges faced by those living with dementia.
About
Almost a million people in the UK currently live with dementia, which is projected to rise by over 40% by 2040. This July, the Create Centre in Bristol will be hosting an exhibition of artworks by artists both living with and reflecting on dementia, in aid of Alzheimer's Research UK.
(Un)broken Memories showcases the work of Adrienne Blake, Michael Buckland, Debbie Castro, Jenni Dutton, and Nicola Millman, with a range of artworks across different media including painting, drawing, film, sculpture and photography. Together, their work shines a light on the challenges faced by those living with dementia and the power of creativity and art to help provide catharsis and hope.
