(both laughing) Collaborative hand-drawn posters playing with language, humour, colour and layout quoting artists, writers, theorists, musicians and themselves!
About
(both laughing) Collaborative artists, Emily Lucas and Nick Grellier, make artwork using low-value, lo-fi materials and objects from around the home in order to tackle the problem of emotion versus seriousness: unapologeticcommunicationplay is an off-shoot of their whole house installation houseworkwork in June and the 30 posters showing at SVA make a non-hierarchical statement about judgements on whose voices are the most important, working individually and together as a visual essay about what it is to be a feminist and to make feminist art. As usual (both laughing) will be giving away badges from their related series, and limited edition prints of all the posters from A1-A5 on gorgeous Hahnemühle etching paper alongside a luscious fresh-off-the-press catalogue of all the posters and postcards. Visitors are invited to make their own protest poster/badge (all materials provided).
