Responding to Two Temple Place’s elaborate decoration, these new sound artworks activate the house through a sonic, imaginary exploration of the space.
THE HOUSE SPEAKS is the result of a 12-week course for young people ages 13-24, convened by Holborn Community Association in partnership with Two Temple Place.
The project was led by sound artist Hannah Kemp-Welch. Over the 12 weeks, Kemp-Welch introduced the group to a variety of tools and techniques used in sound art practice, including critical listening, sound walks, field recording, experimental composition and audio editing.
A map will be available to help you navigate between sound works. Scan the QR code or plug your headphones into MP3 players to listen to each work.
All these dates are Pay What You Can, but please consider supporting us with a donation so we can pass it on – we’re a charity, and what you give makes it possible for us to reach more people through community projects and free events.
