TWO BYTES ARE BETTER THAN ONE is a group show presenting works that delve into internet culture, technology and what it means to live in a digital age.
About
Exhibiting their work in a repurposed police station, this group of artists are concerned with the exponential growth of our digital world. Current reports show on average our society produces 2.5 quintillion bytes of data a day. This excessive output demonstrates just how absorbed we are in a virtual society, and how we are continually flickering between the virtual and the real. This group show comments on the impact of this global structure from within platforms such as the internet, and by considering what it means to be human. The metaphor of 'cells' relates to the artists' exploration of technology and the location of these site-specific works.
