About
To celebrate its twentieth birthday, the Alan Cristea Gallery is staging two special anniversary exhibitions. The gallery has collaborated with many of the most prolific and respected printmakers working today such as Howard Hodgkin, Michael Craig-Martin, Julian Opie, Allen Jones, Richard Woods, Gillian Ayres, Jim Dine and Ian Davenport. These artists are amongst those contributing prints to this unique birthday exhibition and portfolio which will accompany the show.
Each print will be in homage to Alan Cristea and his twenty successful years at the heart of London’s gallery centre on Cork Street. A number of copies of the portfolio will be auctioned at a special fundraising event hosted at the gallery at the end of January – all proceeds of which will be donated to charity.
In their adjacent space, the gallery will present an exhibition surveying its highlights from the past twenty years by late artists including Patrick Caulfield, Richard Hamilton, Roy Lichtenstein, Pablo Picasso and Dieter Roth.
